Perfect beach beer or porch pounder. Light, crisp, malty, and a nice flavor. I agree with others in saying this beer will go great with bbq or might I add at an evening bondfire.

Pours a slightly hazy golden sunshine color, lemongrass notes are dominant on the nose, and there’s a little bready note, too.

The lemongrass flavor is forward on the taste, and the bready flavor is a little sweeter. A really nice lawnmower beer, IMHO.

On tap at Kingsman BBQ in Bryan, TX. Served in a shaker pint.

Appearance: Clear pale yellow. Thin white persistent head with some fine strands of lacing.

Smell: Clean, crisp - but not much going on other than a typical lager aroma. No adjunct smells though.

Taste: Crisp, clean malt, a little sweet, with a nice bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Slick and smooth, light carbonation.

Overall / Drinkability: A no frills, but solid American style lager. Went well with BBQ.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades rather fast to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a slightly grainy and light caramel smell mixed with a little bit of paper and a touch of citrus.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderate grainy bread taste mixed with a little bit of caramel sweetness and some flavors of paper and hay. As the taste advances the paper and hay get stronger and are joined by a bit more grain and a touch of earth and grass, all while the sweeter tastes of caramel fade, leaving one with a somewhat malty, and not so crisp malt taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average in thickness and carbonation. A little lower carbonation and body thickness may have been slightly better, allowing for a more easy sipping brew as one may expect for a 4.2 % abv. beer.
Overall – Nothing really all that great here. You are probably better going with a bud or miller lite as it has a smother flavor and a more refreshing feel then this. Just Ahhh……

From a tallboy can. Clear golden color with a finger of white foam. Musty and slightly sweet aroma. Light feel. Tastes of sweet grain and a touch of floral hops. A straightforward and easy-drinking lager.

It looks better than it tastes. It you are outside Texas, be glad this is nowhere but Texas. Aweful beer. Me and a friend tried the beer, he took one sip. I had to identify the taste so I took a second sip. Stale Honeycombs! Yep that was the taste. Stale Honeycomb. The worst part was the incredibly long after taste. If you want to try this beer call me. I have 4 left from the 6 pack in the back of the fridge.

Update (10-09-19)
My first experience must have been a bad batch or something. I had actually forgotten that I’d already tried this before. I have been buying these in the 19oz cans as singles since I don’t have time to sit around and drink all day. I’m kind of shocked that my previous rating was so low. The look and smell are pretty much the same, the taste is now, very Pilsner like. There is a pronounced Pilsner malt sweetness as well as a fairly aggressive noble hop bitterness. Honestly, this tastes like a completely different beer. I hope this is due to a recipe change and not lack of consistency. If you’ve had a bad experience with this before, give it a second chance.

I assume it looks like beer since I drank it from the 19.2 oz can. Not much of a smell. The taste, I don’t even know where to begin. Upfront there’s a slightly sweet adjunct type flavor that is quickly overpowered by a nondescript bitterness. I can only describe the overall taste as harsh. There’s nothing smooth or enjoyable about this. The aftertaste is very bad and last forever. Not sure what they were trying to make but it’s not something I will ever drink again. I wouldn’t take if it was free.

There is a strong, sweet almost syrup aroma and the brew pours a golden color with a lovely lasting head. Light carbination and a decent bitterness is present. As for the taste... there is plenty of flavor; however, not a standard lager profile. The hop presence seems very low. There is a strong musty buscuit flavor that dominates each drink. I give props for the bold taste, but am not a fan of it. Hints of sour vanilla and liquorice bloom against the tongue. I will give this lager a score based more on its uniquness than my preference, which would lower it considerably.

Well I like this one, it's way drinkable and thirst quenching after a hard day's work. I suspect it has a bit more flavor than a typical American lager. But I can't find any reason to hold that against it. Thumbs up.
