Yet another interesting beer from Die Bierothek Munchen.
This is a very funny beer. The name is a take-off on the doppelbock -ator tradition. It seems they want to brew it annually. But my advice would be to change the recipe. First and foremost, the competition is stiff. Almost no one catches the Bavarian traditionalists on this style. (I don't know why, but not-so-skilled imitators are easily called-out on this style.)
I will not compare Anni Versator to the masters. It is nearly impossible for a mere drinker like me to know what they do.
But at 8%, anni Versator really lacks substance and, to cover it up, it seems to throw in a lot of hops.
I went on Munich Brew Mafia's website ( could not find the English button.) While it is fun for buddies to brew, it is better to work on your recipes before you release it to the public.
