Poured into a glass, it's a thick, dark, opaque chocolatey brown, with a thick head that makes think its a still a very fresh can. It's scent is inviting, a hint of vanilla with a a bold espresso that lingers beyond the musty odor I associate with stouts. It's smooth and very full-bodied, and doesn't overpower with any coffee taste. Instead, the vanilla scent hints you when you drink out of the glass and accentuates the overall flavor which is already well-balanced. Try this out if you like a nice stout or want to try a less coffee-ful coffee beer.

A great example of a coffee/vanilla stout: roasty, bitter espresso, dark chocolate, vanilla, not too sweet and with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Well-balanced and complex.
