We brewed up an extremely easy drinking Kölsch with Pilsner and Munich malts and hopped it extremely lightly with some delicate European hops. The result is a very crushable beer perfect for summer!

16 oz. can poured into a pilsner glass.

Clear and bright, pale gold like Apple juice with 2 fingers of white fizzy foam on top. The aroma is fairly strong and mostly grainy malt. Slightly bitter to taste, light and grainy with a touch of lemon grass. Medium carbonation with a light body and a chewy feel. Not bad.

It's not summer but this is still pretty crushable. The color and nose are solid but the head disappeared before I even pulled up the review form. The carbonation is maybe a little tight but it works well with an active bread/butter note and a little toasted in the finish. Worth a shot if you are into the style.

This DelMarVa (+ DC) adventure of mine has morphed into my latest CANQuest (tm) focus! I really had no idea that MaryCANd, especially, was putting out so much beer. 8=O It seems as though every time I feel like I a close, some more beers from that area Pop! up from out of hiding to surprise me. Further, I am back to work so I CANnot keep up the pace that I set during the Christmas/Winter Break. 8=( On top of all of that, even New Beer Sunday is off-limits due to prior CANmitments. 8=( Inna meantime, a shout-out to my local, in-person trader, @tone77 who recently dropped this off for me.

From the CAN: "1 Pint".

I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent & starting a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention. Color was a pretty Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity, like sunshine in my glass as snow fell outside. Nose had a biscuity maltiness & a grassy hoppiness, almost certainly Noble hops. Mmm. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but no great shakes, either. The taste was crisp & clean - biscuity, grassy with a slight lemony tartness. Yum. Finish was dry with a lemony tartness that lingered. While they reCANmend it for the Summer, I was finding it to be a nice pick-me-up on a dreary Winter evening. YMMV.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a bright, clear golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mild, some grains. Taste is of lemons, grains, a hint of peanuts (wtf?) at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it's not bad, but nothing special.
