Dark brown bordering, dense and thick. Smells strongly of peanut butter, mild chocolate notes on the nose. Tastes roasted, malty, peanut butter taste is pronounced. prominent, but not altogether overpowering. Chocolate undertones are muted. Heavy-bodied, finishes some peaty peanut butter again. Not too sweet, but thick and heavy.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a dark brown (SRM 38-39) with a durable tan head. Initial impression is vaguely reminiscent of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, but not especially so. Chocolate and peanut butter flavors are muted - whatever they put in here definitely isn't real peanut butter or chocolate. Sort of a chemical taste. Mouthfeel is a little thin for a pastry stout. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is fairly bland, fading to artificial flavorings. All in all, I won't be revisiting. Maybe Vol 1 was better.
