This years barrel aged barleywine cuvee is a blend of bourbon, rum, and brandy barrels. We took Old Winyards and aged this sweet English style barleywine for 9 months in the barrels before blending together what is one of our most complex barleywine’s yet.

Caramel color with little to no head, retention, or lacing. Flavor profile is bitter and a bit medicinal caramel, butterscotch, and toffee. Barrel mix not well integrated and a bit scattered. Body and mouthfeel is moderate to thin. This probably didn’t come out the way it was meant to.
