Get loud and rough (not really) with the new black lager in the Black Flag lineup: Black Metal. Also called a schwarzbier, you'll find dark Munich malt roasted to perfection, with notes of coffee and dark chocolate without the heaviness of a stout.

On draught at the brewery.
A dark pour with a weak head, almost no lacing.
Dominant flavor is dark roasted malt, caramel and a hint of vanilla are present.
Enjoyably, and not bad.

Dark brown body under an average size tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and a touch of coffee. Taste maintains a solid malt presence with a modest floral, herbal hop flavor for a bit of balance. Clean aftertaste Decently carbonated, moderately bitter, medium bodied mouthfeel.

Black appearance with a light beige loose modest head, poor retention, very little lacing. Roasty malt, semi-sweet chocolate, instant coffee. Moderate to thin body, moderate carbonation, light but refreshing.
