Not by the descriptive names of the featured hops is this inviting to a lover of traditional IPAs. But, here we go, starting by emptying the entire contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. Obviously, it's a modern American IPA, so the foam that emerged from the newly cracked open pint can was no surprise. But, a gingerly pour, albeit at room temperature, produced such an excessive amount of stark white foam, there had to be a pause in the pouring. Quickly, the foam receded unevenly and unattractively, leaving almost no lacing inside the vessel. Beneath the inches of foam, there's a cloudy and dark lemon-amber liquid. There are better looking beers. The aroma is less than modest. Maybe there's a little citrus fruit references to be had, or is it piney? Even to taste, this could be referenced as citrusy or piney. Likely it is a combination that actually works. It drinks just a little lightly, but not to a detriment. The ABV is nicely incorporated into the overall taste. You won't get a massive hop hit, but what is there is reasonable and noticeable. This isn't the best American Hazy you'll ever have, but it's better than it looks and smells. There's no malty counterbalance, nor taste transitions and it's a little thin across the tongue. But, it's nicely hopped, without being overly bitter, delivers a solid ABV pleasantly and its light body actually works here.
