Nine years of bold brews and unforgettable pours calls for something special. Bursting with a hop quartet of Simcoe, Nelson, Citra and El Dorado, it’s a celebration in a glass. Expect waves of ripe tropical fruit, bright citrus zest, and white grape notes, layered over a smooth, slightly sweet malty backbone. Dank, juicy and dangerously drinkable, this anniversary brew is a tribute to past, present and future of craft-brewed for the fan’s who’ve been with us every step of the way.

Standard haze, but a bit more persistent head. Aroma has usual touch of dank, complemented by some piney Simcoe notes. The Nelsons contribute a nice fruity brightness to the palate. Well worth celebrating.

Had been selecting a mix of Maryland beers for a friend in NY, and grabbed a can at Perfect Pour. Was browsing for a choice from Black Flag and guy next to me said 9th Anny was his current fav…so being a big DIPA fan and big fan of the reported hop bill I thought I’d get 2. Really glad I did.
Poured a beautiful creamy white head that retained some very nice creaminess and lacing before dropping down to some surface foam and distinct halo. Soft hazy yellow-gold with a slight touch of murkiness. Definitely nice throughout the drink. Nose and taste just bursted with Simcoe and Citra…but really nice wine and lime notes rolled in from the Nelson. And throw in a rich malty base. Fruity, well measured dank, citrusy, hints of grape, creamy biscuity…Wow. It was SO in my wheelhouse. All this aroma and flavor combined with a ridiculously soft and smooth body. Fantastic brew. So glad I got one for me…wish I’d bought more…unsure 2nd can will make it to NY. lol.
