355 mL can from a 4-pack purchased at the LCBO; dated Sept 19 2020 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a gently fogged pale straw yellow hue, crowned with a full inch of soapy, big bubbled head that dissipates steadily. A stringy swath of sticky lacing has been left in its wake, along with a soapy cap and collar - looks quite good in the glass. Hints of passion fruit, berries and melon on the nose, with shades of lemon-lime citrus and faintly crackery pale malts.
Light and fruity - hints of tropical fruit and berries come through at first, soon joined by a grainy, crackery malt backdrop that imparts a little bit of sweetness to its otherwise hoppy profile. Hints of lime, white grapefruit pith and melon flash across the taste buds at the finish, preceding an off-dry aftertaste with a twinge of tropical fruitiness. Light-ish in body, with moderate carbonation levels that lightly tickle the surface of the palate, adding a little bit of a bite to this brew's rather fluffy, smooth texture. It's got good drinkability, but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's any easier to pound than your average light beer.
Final Grade: 3.88, a worthy B+. I'm grading Ace Hill's Dry Hopped Lager as a light beer since that's a technically accurate description... but the truth is that the dry hopping makes this more akin to an APL or even an India Session Lager vs. your run of the mill light lager. If you're a craft beer geek/hop head looking for something much lighter and more sessionable than your usual go-to brands, I'd suggest giving this beer a try. I'll be back for more at some point.

Pours a light hay colour with a minimal head. Not too much in the smell dept. A bit sweet on the taste with notes of grains and hops. Tastier than your typical adjunct light lager. Low in calories, this is very reasonable for situations when you drink more than a few. It is what it is.
