solid amber, sturdy to me despite the low alcohol and more flavorful than most. this has a pretty assertive hoppy back end with herbal pine and grapefruit notes, as well as quite a bit of body, but its cleanish, on the dry side, and packed with a minerality that sort of beefs it up to me, faint astringency as it sits, but this is good amber and somewhat apart from the crowd which i feel like is rare in this style anymore. pretty deep in color past the orange family and into the reds, garnet and mahogany, dense off white head on top, good clarity and a lot of carbonation, looks great. light toasted and even light smoke character in the nose, lighter and cleaner than that when i taste it, hints of almond, cherrywood, and toffee, but the sweetness stays back. some definite bitter citrus on the back end cutting the malt, and the hops add a cool perceived freshness that a lot of amber ale lacks, not overly hopped, but a nice punch of flavor at the end which helps it finish. robust but not too heavy in body, could drink a few pint cans, the high carbonation helps with that and the freshness too. faintly metallic as it sits but i dont really let it sit long, this goes down quick, works great with spicy food, and stands out from the crowd because it has layers. nice.

Pint at Noble Wave restaurant in Salem OR.
$7 a pint.
Clear deep copper body, nice sized firm off white head,.
Aromas mainly toffee and caramel malts.
Taste very balanced and on the caramel malt side. Though there are some floral hops in the end.
Nicely done mouth feel. Firm yet creamy. Good carbonation.
Overall, a nice malty amber for a Louisiana style gumbo.

Clear coppery amber color, quite atrractive, with plenty of foam swirling in the Het Kapittel chalice. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel and light body. Warm and malty with roasted grain. Aromatic with bread, straw, pine lumber. Some herbal, green, and leafy notes.

Overall this is a better than average Amber Ale. Clean, not overly bitter, but hoppy enough for balance with the malt. From the 16 oz can purchased at Johns Marketplace. Dated 11/02/21.

Look: Semi-opaque reddish amber in color with a lackluster head that lids up and quickly settles to a film, leaving minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Warm bread, lightly toasted grains, wafts of Red Delicious apple, some earthiness, and fruity esters
Taste: Rich bread and dough come on strong with a fruity apple-led backbone that trickles into the mix. Earthy hops and grains carry through the middle before bready malt, dough, and a little caramel-like sweetness close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, medium carbonation, soft throughout, and a somewhat soft finish but with a little astringency from the earthiness
Overall: I dig it. My first beer from these folks and didn’t expect to find their offerings in the black hole that is Salem, OR, so jumped at it. Nothing mind blowing here but a solid and well-balanced amber ale that is hitting the spot right now
