Bottle purchased in 2023 with 2019 written on it. Drinking this in February 2024. Pours a rich brown with a big fizzy head which recedes quickly. Great smell- rich, boozy, dark fruit, caramel, spice. Taste has similar notes. Not overly sweet and even a little on the dry side. Not all that spicy either. Could be called a barely wine or just a strong ale. Strong and not the most sessionable of beers. But that's the idea. Definitely wintery. And quite nice overall.

Step one. Drink this with something warm and salty - soooo good to wash down hot salty fries with this beer! Good mouth feel - almost texture. Definitely on the ABV scale - I got a flight size. Does exactly as it says. A true winter warmer in Butler, PA. No real head or lace. Boozy, orange peels. Kinda an old fashioned beer style! Nice on a cold night.
