a super light and easy drinking lager, perfect after a hike of any difficulty, which is pretty much what brings us to evergreen every time. i never knew this place as here, and was pleased to see such a wide reaching beer menu, they have a little something for everyone up in here. this one is really basic, super pale golden, mostly clear, watered down looking and without much head on it after the initial pour. just looks like a beer sitting there in the shaker pint, nothing to it. the aroma and flavor are real mild, the lager yeast is close to flavorless but it tastes and feels patiently and correctly fermented and lagered, its crisp and fairly dry, and outside from a faint noble hop complexion, there really is nothing there at the finish. soft citrus though, and a little pils type malt in the middle give it just enough character to make it tastes like a beer, this feels at least as hydrating as a glass of water for a parched palate. nice carbonation really is welcomed, and its a good crusher in warm weather and with some of the bar snack type food they have in here. i never mind a snappy light lager like this, especially in a post exercise context...
