as the name suggests, this is a citra and centennial hopped pale ale. it seems like such a simple thing to get right, but this was hands down my least favorite of the beers we had in here. the hops are there, but there are a few things off. it almost tastes like it has a belgian yeast strain, sort of estery and weird with all the hops, like it was just fermented an order of magnitude too warm. there is also a weird dish soapy complexion to it mid palate that doesnt belong, like they didnt properly rinse the vessel or something, seems sloppy and off, despite both citra and centennial hops being quite obvious in the nose and taste. its a shame because it has promise. the malt base is clean and light, the beer is well carbonated and very dry, there is a fine snappy bitterness at the end, appropriate for a pale like this, and the hops are of course winners. this was really the only miss we had in here, which seems crazy to me. if you can get a coconut hefeweizen dialed in but cant do a pale ale, its concerning...
