solid beer from a brand new brewery. i liked this quite a lot, a tasty brown ale brewed with organic coconut, its really nice because its not at all sweet. so many of these get carried away, artificial, and taste more like sunscreen than a beverage, but this one avoids all of that and has a subtle but authentic coconut flavor that really works in the lighter brown ale. notes of chocolate from the malt come up, and a little bit of bready yeast is apparent as well, the fusion of the elements is really nice. lighter bodied but dark enough in color, this beer is well done at its base even without the coconut, and is suitable for four season drinking. a nice smoothness to this, hearty and satisfying despite having a lighter body. a little short on the carbonation, but it helps slow me down. the coconut is most prominent in the finish when everything else starts to dry up, a neat progression for this beer. i liked this place a lot, and while this was arguably their most creative beer, it seems like they are off to a pretty strong start...
