According to the label on the pint can, this is Dust & Stone Volume 1. Volume 2 has been seen, but isn't this review. After the can is emptied into a clear glass liter mug, a light caramel color is observed. The beer is very cloudy and dull, but not opaque. The too familiar modern IPA stark white head made its appearance, but it wasn't excessive. There's nothing pronounced about the aroma, it's neither hoppy, nor malty. As the malts are Australian and the hops from New Zealand, there is some unfamiliarity with how this smells. It tastes like a hopped up English bitter, especially in the malt and mouthfeel aspects. But, the hops are sharper and much more citrusy. The mouthfeel is light, closing in on thin, also in the style of English bitters. Some softness in the body mitigates its light feel. The head sustains, but there's virtually no glass lacing. Overall, this is a pleasantly hoppy, not boldly hoppy brew that went down easily. Its dryly hopped finish is its finest attribute and there's not much to dislike.
