Hints of salt, watermelon, and faint lime. No hop or malt character - very clean and refreshing. Very well done. Simple, quenching, and refreshing. Like the good book says - refresh others and ye shall be refreshed!

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear amber color with a light pink hue. Upon pourig the brew has a small head, which fades rather rapidly and leaves only a very light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass
Smell – The aroma is strong of a nice real watermelon aroma (not candy like) with notes of watermelon rind and seeds. At the same time there are aromas of a light grainy smell as well as a touch of a confectioner’s sugar sweetness. Other aromas of a light mustiness and hay are present as well, producing a nice, not overly sweet watermelon aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp cracker malt flavor paired with the watermelon that was in the nose. Just like the smell, the watermelon flavor is true to what you would expect when biting into fresh watermelon. It is not overly sweet, but has a nice flavor. There is a little bit of sugar sweetness mixed within, but in comparison the to the watermelon, it only adds a touch of a backdrop sweetness. As the taste moves onto the end, a touch of watermelon seed and hay join in, leaving one with a rather flavorful and refreshing watermelon flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is higher. For the style and the flavors, the feel is fantastic and makes for one nice refreshing sipper.
Overall – A well crafted and quite refreshing watermelon ale. Quite nice for a hot day.
