16oz can served in a tulip. If there is a date, I don't see it. Received today from @MacMalt in BIF #14. Quick chilled under ice water.
Pours thick, viscous black with a smallish tan head. Smell is chocolate shake -- creamy, milk chocolate, vanilla, sweet, only hints of roastiness.
Taste is still sweet and chocolatey, but less one-dimensional. There's a little bit of depth here added by the now-detectable roastiness, and maybe a hint of anise. Definitely has some coffee, too. Almost a cola flavor as well.
Mouthfeel is moderately thick, seems highly carbonated, which gives it a kind of rough texture. Maybe this is a product of drinking it within hours of being delivered by FedEx. Overall, this is a very nice milk stout. I appreciate that it is not dominated by sweetness.

Poured from fresh can into a stemless glass. It pours a very dark walnut - almost ink black - with a frothy, light mocha head and modest lacing. The fragrant nose offers cocoa, fresh coffee, lactose, vanilla, and nutty char. The flavors are big and bold: burnt coffee, lactose, dark chocolate, charred nuts, and earthy peat notes. It finishes with significant bitterness. Very tasty! The mouth feel is surprisingly robust for a Milk Stout. It's nicely creamy with a pleasant level of carbonation, and teh 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Thunder Jacket is a great example of the style. I don't think I've had a better Milk Stout brewed in New Jersey.

L: Pours dark black with half a finger of khaki head. Nice lacing that remains on the glass.
S: Chocolate malts, cocoa, hints of vanilla
T: Tons of chocolate, tastes like chocolate milk from the lactose and the vanilla beans added. Nice creamy finish.
F: Rich, creamy moutfeel and full bodied. Light medium carbonation.
O: Fantastic chocolate milk stout. I absolutely loved this and can't wait to have it again.
