On draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a hazy, burnt orange color with a modest, ecru-colored cap and soapy lacing. Its smell offers bready malt, hints of tart citrus, and a whiff of spice. The flavors include dry, dark toasted bread balanced by caramel malt sweetness as it warms, along with lemon peel and grapefruit rind. It's nicely earthy, bitter, and refreshing. This ale is crisp and lite with above-average carbonation, and while the 6% ABV gives it good substance it is highly drinkable. Overall, Pushing Bubbles is a throwback Pale Ale with lots of flavor. I would say it's very nearly crusahable.
