Scrappy notes from 2016.
6 pack bottles from Surdyk's in NE MPLS.
Looks dark gold and clean. Kind of dry and sweet with the taste of dried fruits and bread. There's a good breadiness surrounding it. A short hop bite, malts and a little bit nutty with a colorful medium finish. Drinks really easy and is very quenching. Excellent!

This is a wonderful beer. Exactly what I want in a pub ale... a beer you can really drink but with wonderful subtle complexities going on. Crisp, flavorful, great drink ability. This brew is malt forward, medium bitterness, dry and nutty with a slightly floral hop profile. Summit utilized Maris Otter heritage barley to brew this one for a classy old-school touch. A very nice regular crusher. I hope Summit doesn't retire this one. Cheers!

I thought this was a really tasty, easy drinking beer. Hazy, straw color.

30th Anniversary West London Ale pours a darker golden color with a small, long lasting and lacing head. The aroma is very mellow and has a mild hop note. Taste is no frills, creamy yet bitter at the end. Good body and feel. Overall a no frills beer.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Clear yellow, good head.
Smell: Grassy, dry crackers.
Taste: Mild sweetness, fruitiness and toasted bread, grassy finish.
Overall: I picked up a 12 pack of cans of the latest 30th anniversary beer from Summit (haven't seen any 6ers). Summit is solid and this is a good, well-made beer. Not exactly a session beer but definitely could have several in a sitting. Nice pale ale, seems somewhat similar to their pilsner and summer ale. Light, grassy, tasty.

Decent enough....herbal hops....light berries....dry finish....light bready, crackery malt dimension. Aroma is top notch. Not a personal favorite but pretty close to style if not a bit hoppier than expected.

This beer pours a pale gold with a large head. The aroma offers up light berries - gooseberry and white grape - honey, earthy hops and dried orange. The flavor is full of crackery malts, with spicy, earthy hop oils, cedar, roast corn, and good bitterness. Overall the mouthfeel is medium bodied, with medium balanced carbonation. Overall this is a very flavorful, sessionable beer, with greats sharp bitterness.

Pours an effervescent gold with a thumb of cream colored head. Good head retention & lacing
S: Floral & bready, a little grain & pear once warm
T: Follows the nose,, nice flinty dryness up front, some pear notes as well. More pear & dryness, just a little aspirin & lemon as well as this warms. Finishes with cereal & pear notes, just a little bit of grassy hop as well
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, nice balance
Drinks alright, a passable version of this style; worth a try
