Pours a clear honey yellow with a large white head that dissipates quickly but leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet with a cracker base. Flavor is also a touch sweet though I couldn't say it resembles strawberries. Great feel, crisp and has medium carbonation. Fantastic beer given the low ABV.

12oz bottle from a variety pack
Not poured so I can't comment on the appearance much. The smell is very heavy on the watermelon; it's almost too pungent, artificial. Taste is just a grainy blonde ale with very mild watermelon touches. A little bit of hop bitterness lingers
Overall it leans too heavily on the grain, but I give it points for being subtle with the fruit flavor

As part of the boundary waters box, Summit outdid themselves on the aesthetic and packaging of this variety pack. As such, I was pleased from the start with the appearance of this beer. Even though the beer itself is quite pale, it holds a substantial and impressively foamy head uncharacteristic of such light ales. The smell while pouring is quite a bit more pleasant than when in the glass. It starts off fresh with bountifully light hops here and there, but in the glass it takes on a foot smell. The taste is supremely balanced, though unrelentingly light. I gotta give props to Summit for their restraint with this ale. Other beers by the same brewer have often left me completely miserable after a single one due to their lack of discernible balance, but this one remains exceedingly easy to pound back and still enjoy it. This is due in large part to its crisp flavor, and surprisingly solid mouthfeel.

Love Summit Brewing Co. Solid, if unspectacular summer beer that prides itself on sweet-tasting drinkability.
It's ceiling is a slightly above average seasonal brew, definitely not Summit's best.

Lazy Sipper pours a straw yellow color, with a small dissipating head. Aroma is weaker, hints of of wheat and strawberry. Nice creamy body, hints of strawberry, with a sweet sugary finish. Good body, but overly sweet finish. Overall, good base, strawberry flavors are too much.

From a 12 oz bottle.
Summit has introduced two beers that seem to be emphasizing local ingredients, and both are well done for their style: Dakota Soul & Lazy Sipper. The latter is using hops from Mighty Axe Hops in Ham Lake, MN and Lacey Barley malts (probably grown in MN, since that is a 6-row malting barley developed and released by the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station), and local strawberries.
Aroma is bread, crackers, and hints of strawberry. Hazy golden-yellow with a short, sparse head that disappears quickly into a bubbly ring with light lacing on the glass. Tingly mouth feel from the carbonation. Initial taste starts just a bit bitter, mitigated by the malts and slight strawberry flavor. Finish and aftertaste are mildly bitter. The strawberry adds a nice touch to this blonde ale. This is NOT a fruit beer. The strawberry is subtle and adds a nice touch (as I said). Well done, crisp and refreshing. Good for a hot, summer, Lazy day. This is a quaffer, not a Sipper!

Aroma is bready with light floral notes.
Bready malts lead the way on the flavor with just a very slight touch of strawberries on the flavor.
Finishes crisp. Solid for a Golden Ale. Those who want this to be strawberry forward will not be happy but I like it.

Picked up this beer from my local liquor store. Poured from the can into a pint glass. The color of the beer is straw yellow with a small amount of head. The smell of the beer is cracker, lemon, and something tart (strawberries). The beer tastes great ice cold and the tartness of the strawberry adds a nice level of complexity to the beer. Overall this beer will be great on a hot summer day and with an ABV of 4.8% it drinks well.

A bit of haze in this golden ale with a dense head. There is a faint hint of strawberries but otherwise smells and tastes like a well made blonde ale. A bit of sweetness, herbal hops with low bitterness, and pale malt. Light and well carbonated which makes it go down fast. It tastes like beer so it is not going to get people who do not like the taste of beer want to drink this.
