A traditional and floral white ale featuring tangerine peel and fresh-ground coriander, Summit Skip Rock offers notes of zesty citrus, clove and biscuit. Slightly sweet and a little tart beneath the surface, it's unfiltered with a crisp, refreshing finish.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 12/14/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange peel, coriander, peach, pear, melon, red apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange peel, coriander, peach, pear, melon, red apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast/coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, peach, pear, melon, red apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an incredible witbier. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Perfectly balanced between classic wit yeast, spices, and clean pale/wheat malts; with nice noble hop presence/balance. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. One of the best I have had.

12 oz can dated 12/28/18 poured into Deschutes flute.

Cloudy mellow yellow gold with a tall fluffy head of 3 fingers. Recedes gradually to 2 fingers with sparse soapy lacing up the sides.

Aroma is of sunshine and bunnies. Just kidding. But it really is nice. Very bright fruity aromas and a slight perfumery that reminds me of something you'd probably call "sunny day" or "bright rays of sunshine". Lots of apple and pear and rolling fields and I wish my wife would wear this as perfume.

Damn, what a witbier. I don't remember having one this good in recent memory. It's full of banana creme pie and vanilla wafers, with hints of bright juicy orange, pears, apples, slight perfumery, very slight coriander, and lavender.

Feel is full of stabby carbonation but it subsides to a calm creaminess with slight lingering starches on the finish.

Overall, this wit kicks some serious ass. It takes a lot for a wit to impress me, and this one has accomplished the task. Well done.

On tap. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a rocky, white head of foam. It smelled of coriander, wheat and yeastiness. Sweet wheat flavor with coriander, spices and a yeasty bite.

Look: cloudy yellow, billowy head, thick lacing. Aroma: orange peel, lemon, coriander, cardamom. Taste: lemon and orange, only a hint of coriander. Finish: short and easy. Mouthfeel: medium bodied, well carbonated. Comments: very nice. The taste is missing the spice notes I get in the aroma, but is satisfying nonetheless. I could drink a lot of these, and be perfectly content.

Though crisp and refreshing, this white ale tastes like it would be better drunk around christmastime. The clove and citrus make it a very warm, pleasant and nostalgic drinking experience. Sweet and sour are well balanced, with hints of malt present. Another supremely balanced beer on the lighter side from Summit, though this one has a solid twist to it.

From the Boundary Waters pack. Wheat malts and spicy aroma - coriander, perhaps some clove, citrus. Tall, thick, fluffy white head that lingers, leaving thick lacing. Clear, bright golden-yellow with lots of bubbles. Initial taste is citrus, orange, and spice. Good bready malts underneath. Very slight bittering in the late middle with a spicy finish. Mouth feel is refreshing, if a bit thin. Nice balance, natural flavors, brewer says it is slightly sweet, but I detected no sweetness to speak of. Excellent wit (although not a go-to style for me).

A-hazy golden color...fluffy white head

S-Corriander, some citrus...wheaty

T-Wheat maltiness....corriander...light citrus....not oversweet or artificial like some can be. A little of a sharp citrus peel flavor as well.

F-Pillowy...soft...smooth...finishes with a bit of corriander lingering...

O-Summit has a winner here. Rock solid Wit and one that will be a great summer time addition to the lineup.
