12oz can. Bottom stamp is '5091 1023 EB 08/29/25'.
Mostly clear for clarity with a slight haze. Pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head with the initial pour, and this sticks around as a full cap. Leaves behind linked splotches of lacing.
Aroma of tangy wheat malt with sweet banana and cloves.
Taste is tangy from the wheat malt, and additional flavors of banana and cloves. Floral hops and rose hips. Aftertaste continues with all flavors.
Medium mouthfeel. Very soft texture. Very low bitterness. Excellent carbonation.
Sweet and tangy, with the classic flavors for style. Very easy to drink but may get too sweet for extended session work.

12 oz can best by 8/29/25 into a 12 oz Becker.
L: SRM 3.5 pours a slightly yeasty yellow gold color with a 1.5" thick head that has a creamy center and very good retention down to a flat thin head, steady carbo, medium lacing with light broken sheeting.
S: Fruity with banana, spice, a hint of yeast.
T: Light nutmeg, banana bread, gently sweet, yeast, pear, lightly sweet grains, mildly bready in the middle, not much aftertaste, essentially no bitterness.
F: Brisk then smooth with a medium length lightly dry finish.
O: Light and tasty. Very easy drinking. Not a deep tasting Hefe but rather gentle and elegant. I first had this beer when it was a new release in about 2002 and it's been a few years since I've seen it until now. You can rely on Summit for producing really good beers. This Hefe Weizen is very good in its style.

12oz bottle. I miss this and haven't had it in years now, review from notes:
Very easy drinking hefe, with the usual clove and banana flavors dialed back just a bit. Makes for extremely easy drinking, and is my goto Summit offering during the hot months of summer. A beauty of a beer to look at, and to drink
Solid hefe at a great price

From a 12oz bottle. Cloudy golden color with white head. Smells of wheat and spice. Fairly heavy feel. Wheat and lemon flavors with a dry spicy finish. Pretty good, but it's a bit heavy to have more than one.

Cloudy light golden. Good head. Appearance as expected for a Hefe. Cardamom is well balanced with the hops. Very smooth and sessionable, especially with a grain or two of rock salt from a pretzel.

Overall, the beer's ease of consumption and mild flavor outweighs its weaknesses. While Summit's take on the hefeweizen has a balanced palate and strong aftertaste with a surprisingly alcoholic bite, the smell and look of the beer put me off a little. Solid beer in the end, but nothing to write home about.

Poured golden and presented with a slight amount of haziness, a little bit below average I would say, but a full on 2/3" white head on the top. Aroma goes light on the clove and banana yeast stuff, more wheat noticeable than yeast.
Taste delivers much the same the nose does, straddles the line between a pale wheat beer and a hefe in a typical way. Carbonation is above average. Lots of wheat this one could be up around the 50% range. Lemon and grain continues to be the dominant stuff throughout the mouth feel of the beer, nothing changes up as you get into the back of the bottle other than that very light banana feel.
This one is more akin to something your old lady would put a piece of fruit into or a palate cleanser.

Poured into a slightly tapered glass (from Heineken) from a can.
Look--While not as cloudy as other hefeweizens, a cloudiness was present, along with a brilliant gold hue.
Smell--Lemon and...cured ham?
Taste--Less overwhelming than other hefeweizens, but still having that wheat profile, along with a sweetness and a touch of lemons.
Feel--Less body than most, but enjoyable...lightly carbonated.
Overall--I haven't been a fan of wheat beers in over 20 years, and while this might be a bit tame for hefeweizen purists, this was rather enjoyable. I probably wouldn't purchase this again, but I probably would drink this if offered to me.

From a 12 oz can into a weizen glass, pours a cloudy gold with a huge white head, dissipating slowly and leaving lots of lacing. Smells slightly sweet, floral hop profile, and spicy. Taste is fruity, with a sharp wheat bite and a spicy funkiness that reminds me of a saison. Mouthfeel is smooth, and rather thick and creamy. The texture throws me off a bit, but overall this is a nice, refreshing summer beer.
