Few things pair better than lemon & lime, so it just made sense we’d add a new flavor to our Cabin Crusher family! Welcome our Summit Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lemon. A variation on our Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lime, this beer is brewed to be crushable. Spiked with fresh Meyer Lemon peel and puree, plus lemon-forward Loral and Lemon Drop hops, it is bright and tangy. Low in alcohol, but high in drinkability, it’s the perfect summer companion alongside its lime sibling.

Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style with Lemon pours a slightly hazy, golden color, with a larger, long-lasting, lacing head. The aroma has a note of refreshing lemon. The flavor is strong lemon, and it has a light, crisp beer body. Good feel. Overall, it is a big, lemon-forward beer.

12oz can enjoy by 9/29/22 into a Kolsch glass.
L: Pours a yeast-hazed straw yellow w/a rounded creamy 1"+ head, very good retention to btm/end of glass, well carbonated, random skeletal lacing.
S: Lemon pith, cracker malts, light floral grains, a suggestion of white bread.
T: Assertive lemon & zest but not extreme, light biscuit malts, gently floral, a dash of tartness, lightly yeasty.
F: Zippy, bright & crisp medium-bodied mouthfeel w/a fast, dry finish that ends soft with a light linger.
O: Just dandy, tasty & quite refreshing. Probably very good over ice cubes as well as in a Kolsch glass. Convincing lemon and bright smacking good ale. It is very good in it's style.

12oz can. Review from notes:
Very crushable summer beer that doesn't do much to stand out. You get a slight hit of lemon along with some hops. Overall it's just a grainy-ass beer with adjunct. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but I'd rather have a German lager with real lemon squeezed into it
OK

Appearance: Pours a semi cloudy (~50% opacity) medium to light golden-orange color with a mild white head. SRM of 7-8. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of yeast upfront, German bread malt, some faint lemon sweetness in the backend. Pleasant. (4.00)
Flavor: Lots of German yeast upfront. This is followed by a moderate citrus fruitiness in the middle. Some lemon and lime. Then a prominent grain malt finish. Mild astringency. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Strong carbonation. Finshes smooth. (4.00)
Compared to Cabin Crusher Lime 7/2/21: Pours an identical color. Less lime, but more pleasant lemon and wheat. Less biting lime astringency. Winner: Lemon
Compared to Bells Lo Sun Wheat Ale 5/17/22: Pours hazier, larger head. Stronger aromas. More tart lemon shandy. Less dry wheat lemon. Sweeter and more tart.
Overall: Really enjoyed this Kolsch. Better than their lime version in my opinion. This one has a nice and light lemon, yeast, grain, and bread malt. Some tart lemon too. Complex and drinkable. Very nice for the summer. Much more drinkability and less astrigency than the lime version. I liked this one and would drink again. (Final Rating: 3.89)
*Compare to a lemon shandy or lemon wheat*

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped for Enjoy By as '09/25/21'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Thin finger of white, small bubble head. Leaves some interrupted bands of lacing.
Aroma has a whiff of lemon along with the cracker malt.
Taste is a little sour from the lemon. Bready malts. Zesty into the aftertaste.
Crisp mouth feel, but is slightly thick. Very good carbonation.
Clean and quick to leave the palate. Heavy on the lemon flavor.

8/4/20....hazy dark gold with thick fluffy white foam on a top. Strong lemon flavor. Light thin mouthfeel with citrus in the back. Crisp. Clean. Lemonade like flavor washes over. Maybe overdone on the lemon but in an enjoyable way.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Hazy yellow, ok head, kind of reminds me of a witbier.
Smell: Straight lemon juice. Like right from the green bottle.
Taste: Lemon flavor but not tart, kind of like lemonheads candy but not nearly as sweet. Light body, dry finish, easy drinking.
Overall: Another easy drinking summer beer here. It's been a long time since I had Leinie's summer shandy, but I could see someone choosing this one over that to get their fruited beer fix.

Fresh lemon aroma with biscuity malts detectable. The lemon aroma tends toward slightly sweet.
Hazy (in a keller-sense, not hazebro sense) lemon-yellow color. 1.5 inch head, thick and creamy looking. Relatively heavy carbonation visible. Compared with the lime version, the color is a tinge lighter, and the carbonation is heavier. The head fades faster than the lime, and it has less lacing.
Taste is smooth white-bread malts with the lemon accents riding on top. No bittering to speak of, just the slight citrus bite to balance things. The finish is mild and slightly sweet, with the lemon flavor lingering into the aftertaste. Compared with the lime version, this one is slightly sweeter, and with more of a citrus bite. I like the taste of this beer, but I liked the lime version a bit better.
The mouth feel is medium-bodied and smooth on the palate.
Overall, a great thirst-quencher of a beer and the lemon adds a bit of smooth sweetness compared with the tartness of the lime variant. Both variants are refreshing and summery, crisp, even if they play a bit loose with the Kölsch-style. I prefer the original lime version, though.
