A barrel-aged variant of our 120 Shilling Export Scottish Ale. The original is deep ruby in color with aromas of toffee, Scotch whisky and baking spice. Rich flavors of dark fruit and caramel lead to a long, warming finish.

On tap at Whiskey Road, Cedar Falls, IA; served in a snifter. Motor oil-colored body, capped with an off-white head (minimal due to "boss" tap pour). Decadent and not too boozy considering the high alcohol content. The barrel char and whisky settled nicely into the background, allowing notes of warm spice, vanilla, molasses, raisin, and caramel to engulf the palate. Pleasantly syrupy mouthfeel, lightly sweet, and incredibly easy drinking for a big beer. Not much to quibble about here. If you see this one, do not pass it up.
