Summit Black perfectly captures the subtle, sophisticated character that defines this historic style. Pouring a beautiful dark mahogany, this beer immediately greets the senses with captivating, complex malt aromas. On the palate, you’ll discover delicate roasty malt notes, reminiscent of toasted bread crusts, harmoniously balanced by pleasant hints of cocoa and grain. Crucially, the Schwarzbier is a lager, meaning it offers a wonderfully clean finish and remarkable drinkability that sets it apart from other dark beers. This light body and snappy crispness make Summit Black a truly elegant and sessionable brew that we think you are going to love.

12 oz can exp date 05/03/26 into a Becher glass.
L: Pours black with dark tobacco edges, a khaki 1/2" head that recedes to nothing, light steady carbo, no lacing.
S: Malty, a distant note of toasted grains, toffee as the beer warms a bit.
T: Clean gently sweet toasted malts and grains, light char, a hint of dark cocoa, resin, a bitter and zesty hop note that lingers.
F: Zippy and fast medium-light bodied mouthfeel with a med-fast dry finish.
O: Slightly full-flavored with a lighter body makes this very easy to drink. The finish is very dry with very little aftertaste. More flavor is released with slight warming and it is fresh tasting. It is excellent in its style.

12oz can, painted label. Bottom stamp has a best by date of 'Enjoy By 05/03/26'.
Dark brown colored body. Brief lasting beige colored head. Minor surface storm and a very thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted lager malts.
Taste is sweet, with a dark roast underlay. Light flavors of roasted barley malt, with hints of coffee, caramel, and a reminder of black licorice. Aftertaste fades quickly but brings with it the main roasted barley malt flavors.
Medium mouthfeel. Low bitterness but has that dark roast coffee vibe. Clean finish. Supportive carbonation.
Each sip brings a wave of dark roast goodness and then it quickly fades away. The only thing to do is to take another sip. Full of flavor but with a very light touch. Appearance is ominous but very clean.
