Used to crush these back when I was hanging around in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. My buddy was more about 'em than I was, but I never turned 'em down. Pours a light copper color, 2/5" white head on the top. Aroma was full of grain but largely devoid of anything but a smattering of bittering hops.
Taste packed a lot of grain flavor into the malt bill. Very slight bitterness, not a lot of hop flavor. Had those fresh barley and cardboard notes. Carbonation is high. A little bit of caramel from the malt. Probably heavier malt wise than just about any other 4.5% "ipa" I can think of. This is like total opposite beer compared to like an alpha hop. But it is prolly decent for someone who just wants an easy to drink beer.

Toasty aroma with a mildly spicy hop presence.
Amber but just a little murky. Nice dense tan head.
Soft bittering right away and the lingering is not too intense either and pleasant as well. Enjoyable complexity to the hop flavors and not classic styles. Stronger malt presence than many and less sweet too, yet clearly stated.
Moderate feel and nicely carbonated.
Again, if drinkability was still listed this would be high. A nice beer of lower alcohol and good enjoyable flavors.
