Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch light tan head over a dark (slightly reddish) brown body with some lacing. Nose of roasted malt, dark fruit (mainly blueberries), slight maple (sap), and hops. Tastes of malt, blueberries, and a slightly bitter hop finish bouncing off the slight sweetness of the maple sap. Almost creamy mouthfeel and overall a very unique offering from Ten Bends. This would pair very well with cheesecake or vanilla (or chocolate ice cream.) As it warms the maple comes forward on the nose and a bit more on the taste as well. Cheers!
