This truly unique beer is our black ale aged in a rye whiskey barrel for nine months.

Moderate pour yields a 2 inch light tan head over a very dark brown body with some sticky lacing. Nose of roasted malts, dark chocolate, bitter chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. Taste has attributes of malted milk, aforementioned chocolate and vanilla with the rye whiskey spice of pepper coming out very nicely. Nice feel and overall, I'm a sucker for anything aged in WhistlePig Rye barrels. ;) Cheers!
