To illuminate the obscure and highlight the adored, we present our only single hop series of ales, Sole Shine American Pale Ales. Each ale in this series utilizes solely one hop variety to shine a light on the soul of the essences that can be uncovered by each.
The third ale in this series leverages Nelson Sauvin hops to impart a delicious radiance of white grapes, grapefruit, and gooseberries with a minimal touch of lychee or just straight-up candy.

Reviewing on the Nelson Sauvin variety.
Canned on 07/29/22.
If you're into single hop beers like I am this is a home run. Balanced, smooth, jucy going down and sublimely bitter and dry on the finish. A perfect blend of east and west coast style ales.

From the bottom of the can: "21348 TENBENDSBEER.COM/FRESH"
Appearance: The body of the beer is opaque with an orange-beige color. The head is white, fluffy and short. It leaves nice sheets of lacing on the glass and although the head is short it has nice retention.
Aroma: There is a light tangerine scent with a bit of pineapple. There is a very light touch of grain aroma and just a hint of alcohol.
Taste: Up front there isn't a lot of flavor; a light hint of orange pith but not much. Towards the middle there is a bit of dusty old chocolate bar character with a light bit of grapefruit. There is a bit of grain towards the back of the palate. A light bit of alcohol in the aftertaste with some light grapefruit.
Mouthfeel: It is light bodied and a touch watered down feeling. Wet finish and mild citrus rind bitterness.
Overall: The can states that this is a "NELSON SAUVIN SINGLE HOP" and it is interesting to see how a beer works with a single hop variety. Although the can states that this is is an "AMERICAN PALE ALE" it has more of a New England IPA character, and it doesn't really drink much like a Pale Ale. It's an interesting enough beer that if you're curious about how a Nelson Sauvin hop tastes that you might want to drink it. As a whole I wouldn't buy it again though.

This has an outstanding pour with a ton of sticky lace and a cloudy lemon hued body. Nose is grapeskin and biscuit and medicinal hops. Kind of interesting in that it is imitating the trappings of the NE IPA but marketed as an APA. It is a bit understated in the flavor but has a nice resinous aftertaste. Kind of interesting from this new brewer for me.

Pours a cloudy pale straw color. A couple fingers of bubbly white foam. Aroma is grapefruit, grapes, biscuit, and bitter hop. Flavor follows suit with sweet grape on the front and tart grapefruit in the middle, finishing a nice bitter hop flavor. Feel is nice and smooth, I’m guessing the malt bill is enough to smooth this all out. I love it.
