On the can: Citra-Idaho Gem-Nelson Sauvin
Look: Straw gold with orange hues, deep and dark haze, not white hazy or milky but dark shades. Thin white foam dissipates pretty quick, minimal scattered cover, no lace.
Nose: Very aromatic: Golden wheat, sweet citrus, earthy lemon tang, strawberries and bubblegum.
Feel & Flavor: Crisp, then mildly smooth for the style, thinner than most, but at 6.5% we are in the lower middle of the NE style. Zippy and zesty. Earthy citrus tang with lemon zest mostly from the unique three hop combo. Very fresh hop flavors but mostly grainy and tangy earthy tones with some subtle fruitiness in the backdrop. Slightly fizzy for the style as well, with some leftover citric acid tones.
Overall: pretty basic stuff for Ten Bends, which usually never disappoints. Not a total loss as the three hops give off a rather unique flavor profile, but not nearly as complex as I'm used to.
