Copenhagen 25/6 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. An evil hop Flower as a logo. Black can with red writing. Horror movie font. Looks omnious. Apparantly an “Icecream Beer”. Sounds ominous.
Pours hazy, murky, golden yellow with a small white head. Some obscure chunks whirling around. No Lacing.
Aroma is intense, candy-like and very sweet. Artificial pineapple, sugar in abundance, peach. Well it does actually smell a bit of Piña Colada in it’s own offbeat way.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, fat texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by a surpringly strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit rough. Lighter sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
If the mission is to make a beer that resembles a Piña Colada they succeed with the smell but it gets pretty weird when it comes to the flavor where it gets quite bitter.
