Poured from crowler into glass. Fill date from label is '9/18/18'. ABV% on can label is 4.7%.
Black colored body, with mahogany highlights when back lit. First pour produces a voluminous light tan head that rather quickly settles back to thin cap and ring. Leaves behind some horizontal strings of lacing.
Mostly dark roasted malts and chocolate in the aroma, with the milk sugar bringing up the rear.
Taste is dark roasted malts, with a milk chocolate emphasis. The coconut is not a distinct flavor, but adds in with sweetness, along with the milk sugar.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Some smoothness overall.
Quite disappointing in the lack of coconut, both in the aroma and in the taste. Presents as a rather mundane, thin chocolate milk stout.
