L: deep bright dark brown to to black under a 2" tan cap with fair to good retention
S: Moderate chocolate and cherry lead the aromas supported by medium low roast and traces of coffee
T: liquid chocolate cherry muffin starts slightly sweet and dries on the finish with a trace of alcohol and a moderate hop bitterness that accentuates the chocolate flavors
F: creamy, almost viscous, with a full body and medium low carbonation
O: The cherry and chocolate are assertive enough to lead but not overwhelm the underlying stout character.

Poured from 750ml crowler into glass. Canned on '02/19/18'.
Black colored body, with very slight brown highlights. Bubbly tan head settles to ring and interrupted cap. Just a few spots of lacing.
Aroma is dark roasted malts, with a little chocolate and the whiff of sour cherry.
Taste is dark roasted malts with a touch of char, and a mix of chocolate and cherry. The mix is kind of sweet and kind of sour. No real bitterness. The chocolate and cherry trail off together at the end.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Toward a dry finish.
Rather unappealing aroma and taste. Seems like a mis-match between the chocolate and the cherry, rather than complimentary. Thinner mouth feel seems to be related to the cherry aspect of the beer.
