L:. Pours a hazy pink lemonade color with a small white head and no lacing on the glass.

S:. This beer is a lot of guava, notes of light hibiscus, a slight bit of tropical fruit. The guava is very dominant.

T:. Very strong guava flavor, a very light hibiscus flavor. Not much depth here, of you like guava you'll like this but it's mostly guava.

F:. Seems a touch watery, light body.

O:. If you like guava this is a good summer beer for you.

a guava pale ale, and although its a little over flavored, its not a bad beer. you have to wonder about the self awareness of a colorado brewery making a full time guava beer right? like, there arent any guavas growing here, its a strange choice, and sort of has me suspicious right from the get go. it is a little extracty, a little overly sweet, but with some tartness too, and some hops, not a poorly made beer at all, but just too much of the guava thing too flavored, seemingly a beer designed for those on the fringe of craft, not quite sure, shock top drinkers, just an all around odd thing to build a brewery around in my opinion, especially here in colorado. not bad though, refreshing if you dont mind the sugar, and with a decent hop flavor there that does work in nice concert with the fruit. good carbonation also helps, and its a crushable can, but really nothing special. i will look forward to trying their other recipes, because this is well enough made, just not a flavor that appeals to me all that much. too early to tell on these guys...
