A tan foam head condenses over an 8 ball black body that faintly reveals some mahogany red hues under light.
Lightly smoky, woody tobacco comes close to hickory, certainly making for a far more bold schwarz than I'm accustomed to, before finishing bone dry despite a heftily filling froth.

16oz tallboy can.
canned on date of 06/23/23.
poured into Dimpled Mug.
Appearance: Black bodied lager with a khaki colored head. The head pours thick / creamy / dense. The head has a lot of staying power as well. The head leaves a lot of lacing all over the glass as well.
Smell: Chocolate & nutty; roasted grain. Nothing but malty goodness in the aroma here.
Taste: Malty & grain sweetness with a light roasted note. Semisweet chocolate, roasted malts, fresh baked dark bread(like a pumpernickel or rye bread), balanced light bitterness and a roasted note linger into the finish.
Mouthfeel: medium light bodied beer with just the right amount of carbonation. The body is creamy. The beer is very drinkable. It's everything you would expect and it's properly delivered.
Overall: This is probably the best beer I have had from Bierstadt Lagerhaus. This is just as good as Goldfinger brewery's Schwarzbier which is a compliment for sure. Goldfingers Schwarzbier is the Schwarzbier that I judge all Schwarzbiers by as the best I have had... Top three Schwarzbier for me. Highly recommended.
