This was the 15th beer I had at the inaugural Hazy IPA festival at the Bistro (held during the 21st annual ipa festival on April 14, 2018). It was between this and Haze Gruber for the best names at the festival.
Pours a mixture of that dull spent casing brass and yellow color. 1/3" white head. Aroma hit all those Citra and Mosaic notes, sweet tangerine, cantelope and passion fruit going on in the nose. Nice to have one pop off this late in the day. Palate might be fatigued but my nose isn't.
Taste is nice, keeps dropping that sweet tangerine vibe on me, a little bit of pineapple like notes creep in. Carbonation on point. Nice soft light body providing levity and allowing the hops to keep dripping with citrus, tropical and stone fruit medley going all over the mouth. Its got a nice blend of the aroma hops with the bitter pusher Simcoe which does admirably. One of the better beers at the festival even if it also uses the most common hops at the festival too.
