1st review on BA. Enjoyed this beer at the Bistro's 22nd annual ipa festival on April 13, 2019. Was one of the more unique beers that day. Only weeks later did I learn that its uniqueness is probably related to the neomexicanus hop(s) in the beer.
Doesn't start out strong, has that chicken gravy kind of appearance that isn't visually sexy. I've seen pics online that look better, but the one I got IRL was not the same as I see on IG. The aroma was cool, had a light sweet melon vibe going for it that was different than Huell Melon, like it had a mild inclusion of stone fruit and tree needles.
Taste was easy going, at only 5.5% I think it was the most session-y beer at the festival, a welcome addition. The same melon sweetness with some lemon lime along with it kept things moving along. Carbonation was nice. Body was light, bitterness tame, felt like this was something I could repeatedly crush. Having never heard of them, I have no idea what their price structure was. In such a competitive market, and coming from an expensive zip code, I dunno if me hoping for their price structure to be in the average range is all that realistic. But it was good on this day.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
