L: Yellow haze with a wide finger of ivory foam. Nice retention and broken bands of lace.
S: I get mango here. An observer wouldn’t guess that is somewhat rare based on it being called out in nearly every IPA review on here. I digress. There is also some cantaloupe in the background and notes of lime and dank. Floral and lime increase as it gets some temperature.
T: Some complexity for the ABV. Follows the nose more in the melon and stonefruit spectrum. Some herbal spice as well.
F: Average weight for ABV. Highly carbonated. A little tinny and bitter in a less enjoyable way for the style.
O: Not bad at all. The bitter and dry side, which I often go for, is a drawback for the lime sourness of this brew. You cannot expect a light 5%’er to have your favorite qualities of a 8% (or even 6%) brew. I think Bare did a decent job with this lightweight but feel that their strengths really lie with the 6-8% ABV.

This is like drinking a salad. I’m so disappointed! I was expecting a salad with all the fixings, but instead I got kale! Barebottle makes awesome beer, but this one sucks!
