Alright, alright, let's run down the first ever review of this beer for this Next Glass owned business. This one pours golden with good clarity and a 1.25" white head into a Marquette basketball 100 years pint glass.
Aroma of older school rind and pine. Chinook IIRC. More Chinook than Eukanot, which seems sparingly used or having minimal impact aroma wise.
Taste wise, it is a little more in between phases. It doesn't have the ultralight nimble minimal malt body of today, but it also doesn't have the heavier "balanced" ipa heft crystal malt reference here. While it doesn't fully have a brisk, crisp body either, it also takes that bitterness and finds a degree of woody twang that the beer would be better without.
At the end of the day its a primarily Chinook hopped ipa with a middle of the road body. Primarily grapefruit, pine, aspirin, popsickle stick and tree bark like feel throughout the experience. Not their best result, but good enough. Respect Next Glass!
