Poured from 500mL bottle into a dimpled mug. Bottled 8/27/21.
Appearance: light straw hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy white foam. It looks the part!
Smell: a rather grainy malt aroma with plenty of yeastiness. Not too bad.
Taste: very yeasty with a bit of bready-like quality. Like the aroma, there's plenty of graininess to the malt. It's not bad, but I feel like it's could be cleaner.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: this is an interestingly rich Kölsch. Something about the yeastiness makes it seem maybe not as crisp as it could be, but still, it's a good beer.
