Ok, this is a weird beer. It pours into a slightly cloudy pale color with almost no head. It smells like walking into See Woo (oriental grocery in London) which means slightly fishy with a hint of star anise and 5 Spice blend. The taste starts with a pronounced bitterness, moves to sour and ends with a back note of indistinct spices. The label says it is flavored with red ginseng and Sancho peppercorns. Not being familiar with either, I am not sure how they affect this beer but it definitely is distinctive. If you get a chance, try it ; but I wouldn't buy a case.
