Our best selling beer from day 1, with a rich burnt sienna color, a creamy beige head and good lace.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a plastic cup. It pours a deep orange-brown color akin to iced tea with a small, frothy, light khaki head and thick, soapy, long-lasting lacing. A modest smell with caramel malt, cherry, biscuit, and allspice. The taste largely follows the nose with roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, cola, and mild herbal, earthy bitterness. This ale has a lite but creamy mouth feel with lite carbonation and the 6.8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Cold Spring's Irish Red, one of its flagship beers, is well-crafted and enjoyable.
