Poured a clear, deep amber with about an inch of head. Not a lot of retention, and a small amount of lacing. Very pretty.
The scent of cinnamon punches you in the nose. Burnt sugar, caramel next. Ginger on the back end.
Taste follows the nose. It's cinnamon heavy for sure, but there's enough other flavors going on to give it some personality. While this is on the sweet side, there's also some hop bitterness up front that balances things out; sugar and spice, if you will. It fits squarely in the Northeast Ohio Xmas beer family. Not super unique, but nicely done.
Mouthfeel is nicely crisp. Medium carbonation. Medium body.
Overall, a very good Christmas beer.
