Copenhagen 19/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften. Kbh. NV. Dark blue version of Gavnø's usual design. Some sort of registration error as this beer holds 5,7 % - not 6,2%.
Pours hazy orange brown with an off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma of sweet fruit - mostly peach with some notes of fermentation and alcohol. Light citric notes.
Soft carbonation and slightly oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor follows the nose with a fruity sweetness and a little booziness. Medium strong bitterness in the aftertaste.
It might originate from a brewery on a castle - but that does not make it particulary interesting. A bit unbalanced to the sweet side.
