TBBW March 2020 Release. Poured at 55°. Reddish tan tight head disappears quickly; poor cap retention; no ring; a few spots of lace and no legs on swirl. Caramel and mild bourbon nose. Taste follows with marshmallows whip taste; no peanut butter to speak of; semi sweet caramel finish. Full minus body, and not adjuncty; smooth viscous feel; some dry oak in finish; light carbonation; a little warmth from 12% abv. Overall, this pastry stout held up well; I don’t recall much nuttiness on draught originally, and now the flavors are layers of caramel and marshmallows with a bit of bourbon in the linger. Still very enjoyable 2 years out…

Viscous tar black with a short but dense firm mocha head slowly settling to a fluffy film then collar.
Taste is creamy peanut butter with a surprising wafer or even cookie sort of toastiness to it, as the moderately thick body then glides into some barrel heat right quick. I'm back to chocolate wafer at second sip, then again quickly into a rather surprisingly assertive sting that's at first hidden, but then pricks up like boom, with a little peppery char and a touch of brown sugar, back down again into a semi-sticky round wet finish.
Marshmallow presents the most on the nose, with a round, warming, comforting and luscious vanilla gooeyness to it. Carbonation is fine, a little crackly, but there's still a surprising level of heat, from first to last sip, to contrast the full body fairly well.
I originally rated this from draft in 2019, but I redid (and increased) it with this 2020 Tampa Bay Beer Week bottle.

I don't get much peanut butter out of this but it is a marshmallow, chocolate, and caramel bomb that is like drinking a candy bar in a glass
