We took our Citra loaded Double IPA, Fat Clouds, and let it take a little nap on spirals of white oak.
The result is an even smoother beer that marries the unmistakable sweet citrus flavors of Citra to the soft, vanilla cushion of the wood!

A: Pours a milky murky bright pale to medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + lemon yellow + pale yellow + apricot + peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime + tropical/passionfruit + stone fruit/lychee hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. Slightly heavier than light aromas of fresh oak + vanilla.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by slightly heavier than light flavors of oak + vanilla. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime + tropical/passionfruit + stone fruit/lychee hops which contribute minimal amounts of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving light to moderate lingering citrus hop + oak flavors.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of light dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with lots of flavors and aromas from the Citra hops well complemented by the white oak.
