12.7 ounce bottle, 2019 vintage. Served in a Jackie O's snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head. Head retention is decent and there's a small amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, it's mostly sweet and smells like maple, vanilla, bourbon, molasses and some oak. Taste is pretty much like the aroma, but with the addition of some chocolate and caramel flavors. Very sweet tasting brew, maybe too much. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's syrupy and smooth with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Overall I liked this a lot, although I do like the regular bourbon barrel Black Maple better just because it's not so sweet tasting compared to this one. But with that being said it's still a really good brew and definitely recommend it, especially to those who like sweeter tasting beers!

The famous Bourbon Barrel Black Maple with DOUBLE the maple syrup. Extremely sweet, too much for my taste. I have been told they even made a triple maple. Well, that's probably the first beer in history you can actually spread on your bread. PROST!
