Cellared a year. The honey stout and maple barleywine are right there but balanced by the rugged barley, and earthy malt, dark chocolate ganache, vanilla and molasses dipped raisin, all backed by bourbon. Smells of rich chocolate cake, barley, bourbon with somewhat muted dark barrel in comparison. Feel is warm and smooth with a rustic barrel flair, sugars glaze the edge of the sip. Really nice work here

Cellar Cuvee 15 from Jackie O’s. Received from their website. 12.7 fl oz capped bottle, price unrecorded. Reviewed 28/04/25 (Review 3517). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
On label “Brewed and Bottled by Jackie O’s 2024). Stored in at 39 degrees F at home; served at 56.3 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 60.2 degrees F.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Amber Brown (SRM 18), nearly opaque.
Body – Brown (SRM 20), opaque. Under direct light, same, with heavy precipitate visible on the inside of the glass. When rear-lite, light penetrates only at the top edge, honey amber.
Head – None (Maximum zero cm, aggressive center pour). A < 0.05 cm broken ring of near microscopic bubbles does appear.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 4 – Distinct bourbon, barrel, maple, and honey when opened, sweet. The bourbon barrels quickly fade into the background, leaving honey backed by maple as the dominating aroma. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol.
Flavor – 4 – Begins sweet with honey predominating, followed by maple, but neither bourbon nor barrel appear. No yeast, no hops, no roasted malt. No alcohol (14.7 % ABV, according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Mild gastric warming occurs.
Palate – 3.75 – Medium: syrupy: soft, barely noticeable, carbonation.
Style: Follows the style guidelines as condensed by BA.
Final impression and summation: 4 Credited label artist – Sandy Plunkett. Aroma is initially bourbon barrels, which quickly fades as it breathes, leaving only honey and maple; fortunately, not enough honey to be considered a Braggot. After yesterday’s journey into hyperglycemia, distinctly a pleasant change.

12.7 ounce bottle, 2024 vintage, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a Jackie O's snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with maybe a quarter inch tan head that didn't stay around long. Small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like honey, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, maple and some dark fruit. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some earthy, marshmallow, toffee and some nutty flavors noticeable too. No one flavor overpowers the others, and it's a sweeter tasting brew. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, worth picking up if you come across a bottle or 2!

From the 12.7 fl oz bottle in a snifter. This fine blended brew (for the Little
Lady's Birthday!) pours a dark brown with a faint head that fizzles to a thin ring.
Nose of bourbon, honey, toffee, oak, vanilla, and spicy alcohol esters amongst
sweet maple. Flavors crank it up with bourbon, oak, honey, maple, toffee, raisin,
vanilla, vinous brandy, and a touch of chocolate. Mouth feel is medium full,
light carbonation, smooth, rich, coating, warming, and finishing sweet and
lightly dry.
Overall, another great brew from a great brewery!
Cheers
