Received in a 4 oz. tasting glass. This is a blend of Propa Pale (a late hop addition pale ale) and Kumbaya (a smoked brown ale) with Asian bird peppers added.
3.5 A: Moderately hazed amber brown color. Came without a head.
4.0 S: This has the porcine smoke of Kumbaya and the bright hoppiness of Propa. Toasty with caramel sweetness. Big peppery pepperness. Grassy and citrus hops. Smells better than either of the parts.
4.0 T: Pepper is a huge part of the taste. Good spiciness and a moderate heat. Light smoke with grassy and citrusy hops. Toasty with a light nuttiness.
4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good spritzy carbonation. Light and frothy. Quite nice.
4.5 D: Very tasty brew and quite unique. I don't know what an Asian bird pepper is, but I like the flavors it gives this brew.
